Presidents Message
Welcome to the official website of the Lawrenceville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Lawrenceville Alumnae thanks you for taking the time out of your day to visit our website. Our chapter was chartered December 1, 1951 in Lawrenceville, Virginia by 12 energetic and vivacious women who were committed to the ideals of community service and community involvement. Lawrenceville Alumnae serves the counties of Brunswick, Greensville, and Mecklenburg including the towns of Lawrenceville and South Hill and the city of Emporia Virginia. Having over 50 women professionals, Lawrenceville Alumnae is dedicated to public service through our Five-Point Programmatic Thrusts: Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health, and Political Awareness and Involvement. Our commitment to public service is evident through local initiatives including Delta Academy, Delta GEMS, EMBODI, voter registration/education drives, and our Biennial Cotillion. Members work closely with the Heart Walk of Richmond, Relay for Life, St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, and the National Council of Negro Women.
